Apple’s iPhone has just received a significant new update – the iPhone 12. Although it doesn’t have nearly as many features as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 7, it does have one of the best sound systems available on a smartphone. But just because it’s not as advanced does it mean that there aren’t some great new features available for you to enjoy. One of the most notable differences between the regular and Plus models of the iPhone 12 is its face-recognition technology. If you’re familiar with smartphones in general, then you’ll know that facial recognition is one of the biggest annoyances to keep offscreen while using a smartphone device. For a phone that’s designed to be so user-friendly, it’s surprising that Apple doesn’t include this specific feature with the iPhone 12. However, if you’re willing to take a chance and order the phone online (which is really the only way to get a real iPhone), the face recognition can be turned on for a few extra features.
The biggest improvement to the iPhone 12 specifications is the front-mounted, 12 MP camera. The camera on this phone is the same size as the iPhone 6s, so consumers are able to use facial recognition to allow them to snap photos and videos without having to hold the camera in a certain position. This is especially helpful if you want to take action shots and still shots at the same time. Unfortunately, the quality of images captured with the front-mounted camera on the iPhone 12 is a little poorer than it was on the iPhone 6s, which could be a result of the fact that the sensor is positioned slightly out-of-reach-of-the-hand.
Another significant change to the iPhone 12 specifications is the increase in display technology. The phone now utilizes the LCD display which is slightly bigger than the iPhone 6s. While this functionality is very important to many cell phone users who travel regularly, it is also useful to those who use the iPhone only for particular applications. For example, consider the fact that you can listen to music or watch a video while you are driving. With the iPhone, you never have to carry around another piece of equipment to do so.
In addition to the aforementioned headphone jack, the iPhone 12 also features a night mode which was first introduced in the iPhone 6s. The feature works by turning the white screen black. The speaker, while it is on the smaller side, is capable of handling booming bass sounds so you may want to use it if you are listening to your music and are sitting near a speaker system.
Finally, all of the new models of the iPhone are certified by Bluetooth 4.2, which is the newest standards in wireless device pairing. This means that all of the new models of the iPhone may come equipped with Bluetooth so you won’t have to look far for devices to connect to. In fact, Bluetooth may be the most widely used connection for all of the devices which you may find on your cell phone or laptop. It really doesn’t matter what model of the iPhone you buy, what really matters is that you have it ready to go.
